VIDEO: Hughes relieved as Stoke win at last

Written by

Stoke City boss Mark Hughes says relief is “the overriding emotion” after his side won their first Premier League game of the season,

beating Bournemouth 2-1.

Jonathan Walters scored from Marko Arnautovic’s cross to put the hosts ahead before Dan Gosling equalised with a deflected strike, but Mame Biram Diouf’s 83rd minute header won the game for the Potters.

Victory was Stoke’s first in the Premier League since they beat Liverpool 6-1 on the final day of last season.
